Duracell batteries provide longer-lasting power to ensure everyday devices work properly without unexpected interruptions. DURACELL OPTIMUM: OUR NEXT GENERATION OF POWER

Our most recent and ground-breaking innovation, PowerBoost Actives, which were first launched in Duracell® Optimum, uses a unique formula that helps to improve the performance of devices. Added to AA and AAA batteries, PowerBoost Actives help devices like Xbox One Wireless Controllers to last longer and others, like a radio controlled car, to go faster

BATTERY SAFETY

The popularity of Lithium coin cells has been growing in recent years. Those batteries power products around the home from key fobs to remote controls. This consumer trend has increased the risk of accidental ingestion by young children. We are at the forefront of efforts to make Lithium coin cells safer, reducing the risk of harmful injury. See the video. Our safety features include:

  • Baby Secure Technology.  Our batteries are coated with Bitrex®, the most bitter substance in the world, to discourage swallowing from babies and toddlers
  • Tamper-proof packaging.  Our batteries are packed with a double blister to avoid accidental opening.
  • On-pack warning and engraved warning. Those signs are added to the batteries themselves.
  • Smart safety sticker. We remind parents to store coin batteries in secure places. The device cannot be used without removing the safety sticker before the battery is inserted.

As part of our continuous improvement, we make sure to use the highest quality of raw materials along with rigorous testing and inspection of our products’ performance and energy usage. The related quality assurance process exceeds the requirement of ISO 9000 standards. Every Duracell battery is quality checked before it leaves our plants to ensure it offers maximum performance.
